Americans went to the movies this weekend, and did so in droves, which proves once again just how ideologically dishonest, brain-dead, and professionally compromised the entertainment media are.

In the opinion of Ghost in the Shell anime film director Mamoru Oshii, while the concept of “political correctness” may have been borne from a place of genuinely good intent, its over-emphasis in recent years has had a profoundly detrimental effect on not just entertainment media, but society at large.

For 97 years, Academy of Motion Pictures members were allowed to vote for or against movies they had not bothered to watch. This new rule mandating voters watch every movie in every category they vote on will take effect in time for the 98th Academy Awards ceremony next March.

“When it comes to prox chat, I don’t think we’re against the experience of it, to be fair,” explained director Joe Zigler to PCGamer following the game’s full trailer reveal on April 2nd. “I think the challenge is how to make sure we’re creating a safe environment for players inside of that space.”

It’s not as if it was ever a secret: The very core of the woke movement is fundamentally rooted in evil. The general definition of “evil” being a conscious act of deception and destruction, the deliberate victimization of others for the sake of personal power, pleasure and gain.

Breitbart: Teenage fans of the Minecraft Movie have been ravaging screenings by throwing popcorn and sodas around the theater during key moments of fan service. Minecraft fans, mostly teenage boys, have been seen going berserk and turning the theater into a trash heap during one particular moment in the movie when Jack Black’s character mentions a “chicken jockey” – an inside-joke for game lovers, per Forbes: Things have gotten out of hand with (mainly) teens doing things like using enormous bags of popcorn like confetti, slinging it all around theaters during specific moments (often the “chicken jockey” scene). This has resulted in everything from warning signs at theaters telling people not to throw popcorn or drinks (which the poor theater staff will have to clean up) or even (unconfirmed) reports of police being called to screenings. Sometimes the theaters are such a mess that the screening afterward has to be cancelled due to the extensive cleaning needed, which of course, is lost ticket sales and potential mass refunds. One theater brought the police in to handle the situation and another theater in New Jersey set a rule that minors must be accompanied by a responsible guardian.

If there was an effort to make stand-up comedy a bit more genteel a few years ago -- with offensive words and phrases placed out of bounds -- a second Trump administration has emboldened more transgressive voices who are willing to wind it back to the days when it was fine to have a laugh at the expense of women, trans people, people of color and the mentally disabled.
