FOX NEWS Reports: Mark Kern, a former team lead of the popular online game "World of Warcraft," claims the video game industry and entertainment at large cater to progressive views in their content in exchange for access to money.
Fans of beloved franchises like Indiana Jones have become frustrated when they think movie studios and writers have adopted divisive identity politics or gone "woke." Kern puts the blame on DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) consulting companies that often work with a movie, series, or video game in development and help write or influence their stories.
While some games with DEI consultancy influence such as "Marvel's Spider-Man 2" and "God of War: Ragnarok" have met commercial success despite pandering to liberal identity politics, the recently released "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" has been widely panned for both its gameplay and its story.
This game was so poorly received that Discovery Chief Financial Officer Gunnar Wiedenfels on February 23rd amidst the company’s Q4 2023 earning calls declared, it "has fallen short of our expectations since its release earlier in the quarter, setting our games business up for a tough year-over-year comp in Q1."
In the video game industry, one consultant agency made headlines recently for being at the center of controversy over pushing diversity politics in certain video games. Sweet Baby Inc. (SBI) describes itself as an "inclusion-focused narrative and consultation company" working toward "diversifying and enriching the video games industry." On the video game digital distribution service Steam, over 250,000 gamers have followed a list called "Sweet Baby Inc. Detected." The list consists of games that SBI is affiliated with and doesn't recommend them for purchase.
Kern has weighed in on the controversy involving SBI and told Fox News Digital , saying "there is a coordinated effort to insert diversity politics into games by ALL parties involved to the detriment of the quality of the games themselves. Sweet Baby’s Inc.’s very public and self published involvement is just the tip of the iceberg."

Woke also trickles up. Consider the case of the SimCopter gay Easter egg. I experienced it firsthand back in the day, 1996. A dev made the game on certain days suddenly fill with gay men in speedos who kissed each other. He blamed it on being blackmailed by an activist hacker group. It turned out that he was the leader of said group. (Typical Leftist liar.) EA fired him. He later said he did it in protest of the hetero nature of the game. As a result, EA decided it needed to make the dev teams "inclusive", always with gays, to avoid this in the future. Uh, but wasn't this gay guy on the SimCopter team, which is what caused the problem with the unauthorized gay Easter egg? So, what they were actually saying is that they needed LOTS of gays on every project to keep gayness in the games and thus avoid code vandalism by... gays. This boosted the gay representation in devs and the gameplay waaaay beyond the actual population average of 1-2% at the time. The SimCopter debacle led directly to what EA did with Sims 4. I think the original release was straight, but updates added every other kind of sexuality they could conceive of at the time: gay, bi, and asexual. The devs had planned that all along. The main reason this bugs me is that they are going after the kids. Kids in puberty are confused enough about sexuality without receiving explicit gay programming. A second reason this bothers me is that I have seen firsthand what happens when a gay activist gets into a position where he can affect hiring. The company goes almost completely gay, due to a particularly pernicious form of ingroup preference.

Esg is just a social credit score for companies, if a company does not get its esg score up they don't receive money from black rock. I say dei and esg should be banned from America and hating your country or it history or opposing your country should be seen and equivalent to sedition and or treason.

It's incredulous how much money the woke wastes on the promotions of their influence over us. Without other peoples money they would be nothing.
