WHAT CRITERIA MAKES IT WOKE?

WOKE EVIDENCE:

• Movie portrays doppelgänger as hard, masculine man’s man with dangerous religious views.
• Grabs a piece of rope and whips his sons arms with it over a Bible when the protagonist’s daughter stands up for doppelgänger’s son by punching female classmate bully in the face. This paints religion in a bad light, illustrates a female savior which is feminism garbage, and paints a masculine man as an unreasonable and dangerous individual.
• The daughter is on the train tracks with the new neighbors son and he says “so is this where you bring all your dates to get murdered?” She said “I like girls, okay? This isn’t a date”. That adds nothing to the story, and doesn’t fit in a movie about a science dad trying to understand random events that happen to him while attempting to save his marriage and find relevance in an ever changing world.

When the host of a failing children's science show tries to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut by building a rocket ship in his garage, a series of bizarre events occur that cause him to question his own reality.

Cameron Edwin (Jim Gaffigan), the host of a failing children's science TV show called "Above and Beyond", has always had aspirations of being an astronaut. After a mysterious space-race era satellite coincidentally falls from space and lands in his backyard, his midlife crisis manifests in a plan to rebuild the machine into his dream rocket.

As his relationship with his wife (Rhea Seehorn) and daughter (Katelyn Nacon) start to strain, surreal events begin unfolding around him -- a doppelgänger moving into the house next door, a car falling from the sky, and an unusual teenage boy forging a friendship with him. He slowly starts to piece these events together to ultimately reveal that there's more to his life story than he once thought.
