Memphis Belle

Produced by Academy Award-winner David Puttnam ("Chariots of Fire," "The Killing Fields"), this panoramic adventure based on actual events of the young crew of the "Memphis Belle," one of America's B-17 "Flying Fortresses" assigned to fly missions over Nazi occupied Europe, recreates the riveting tale of their final and most dangerous mission. Included in the ensemble cast of today's brightest young talents are Matthew Modine, Eric Stoltz, Billy Zane, Sean Astin, and jazz singer/musician Harry Connick, Jr. in his film debut. Also starring is two-time Oscar-nominee and Golden Globe and Emmy-winner John Lithgow. Featuring a beautiful score by George Fenton.
