The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered follows an unnamed prisoner in the Imperial City whose unexpected release coincides with the assassination of Emperor Uriel Septim VII. As the emperor dies he presses the Amulet of Kings into the prisoner’s hands and names a secret heir, Martin, living as a priest in Kvatch. Almost at once, fiery Oblivion Gates tear open across Cyrodiil, spilling Daedra into the countryside and threatening every city. The player steps into the role of that prisoner, free to wander the sprawling province, join the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, T
