Pim and Charlie staff a tiny company that answers calls to make miserable people smile, only for every job to collapse into surreal chaos. Smiling Friends follows Pim, a relentlessly cheerful pink employee, and Charlie, his lazy cynical partner, as they work the hotline at Smiling Friends Inc. Their boss sends them out to cheer up strangers whose problems look simple on paper. A request to lift a depressed client’s mood, calm a frantic celebrity, or fix a broken household quickly turns grotesque, violent, or cosmically weird. Supporting office fixtures Allan and Glep orbit the same cramped workplace while the pair bounce from one failed goodwill mission to the next. Each short episode keeps the focus on the mismatch between their smile mandate and the absurd disasters that follow. Charlie would rather clock out than care, yet he keeps getting dragged along as Pim insists every client can
