The Lost Boys (1987)
A divorced mother and her two teenage sons settle in a California beach town that turns out to be a hunting ground for a charismatic vampire gang. The brothers must team up with comic-book-obsessed locals to stop the undead before the family is lost forever. The Lost Boys follows Michael Emerson, the older of two brothers who relocate with their recently divorced mother Lucy to the coastal town of Santa Carla to live with her eccentric father. Michael is drawn to a free-spirited young woman named Star and to a leather-clad pack of nocturnal surfers led by the magnetic David. After a nighttime ride and a strange initiation involving blood, Michael begins suffering daylight weakness, strange cravings, and a growing detachment from ordinary life.
