Based on a true story, the short film In the Arms of Angels follows eight-year-old Belle Richards and her younger brother, Joe, growing up in a religious Western setting. One afternoon, the siblings disobey their father's explicit instructions and venture out into a treacherous area known as "the sink" to collect tree gum. As they attempt to navigate a precarious path across a massive rockslide, the loose shale suddenly gives way beneath their feet. Facing sudden, impending death as they begin to plummet down the mountainside, Belle offers a desperate, heartfelt prayer for safety. In that exact moment, an unseen, divine force miraculously lifts both children mid-air and places them back on solid ground
