Requiem for the dead. Nightmare for the living. Capcom’s ninth mainline Resident Evil — a top seller through 2026 — is survival horror first.
You hide, you shoot, you run out of ammo. The series still works when it stays in the mansion and the lab instead of a lecture hall.

Report a mistake
Same rule as woke labels: one report, a written reason, and the community +1 or −1 it — once per member. A net +5 applies the change. Editors can also apply it immediately.

Woke labels
Members can file a published criterion and itemized evidence. Other members +1 or −1 that reason — once. If 10% of members who weighed in file a label, and a reason reaches net +5, that rank keeps the title omitted from the database. Weak labels do not.

Tactical vest, empty mag, another raccoon city that isn't called that. Fine. I'll take it. Horror first. You hear the thing before you see the thing. Action when you have three bullets and a door that used to lock. Thriller in the hallways because the mystery is never "is there a virus," the mystery is "which family member already signed the form." Capcom still knows the mansion math. Dark room, item box, the click when you shouldn't have clicked. I didn't recap the plot. You don't need me to. Someone is missing. Someone is lying. The lab is under the town again. The clothes do the usual RE thing — too clean until they're not. A couple lines wait for a clap they don't get. I did not clap. What I liked: it stays a monster picture. Nobody holds a town hall about the outbreak. You hide, you shoot, you read a file that should have been shredded. Four stars. Would I run it again. Shrug. If the hallway was already dark and the save typewriter was still a typewriter.
