Young Washington

The film follows an ambitious young George Washington in colonial Virginia as he seeks to rise above his limited social standing and earn a commission as a British officer. Facing the disapproval of his mother and the strict boundaries of the military class system, he wins the favor of Lord Fairfax and secures an audience with Lieutenant Governor Robert Dinwiddie. Dinwiddie assigns him to survey the dangerous Ohio Territory, where Washington maps unexplored lands, interacts with indigenous leaders like Tanacharison, and discovers that French forces are building unauthorized forts on British-claimed soil. Driven by his growing ego and initial successes, Washington's miscalculations in the
