Zoo
In 1941 Belfast, a boy and his friends race to keep a baby elephant named Buster safe as German bombs fall on the city. Their larger-than-life wartime friendship becomes a fight to protect one of the zoo’s most vulnerable animals. Zoo follows Tom, a young Belfast boy whose ordinary days at the local zoo shatter when German air raids begin pounding the city in 1941. With the zoo under threat and keepers stretched thin, Tom bonds with Buster, a baby elephant that cannot simply be left behind. He gathers a small band of misfit friends who refuse to abandon the animal to the chaos of the Blitz. Together they improvise hiding places, scavenge food, and dodge both falling bombs and adult rules that would separate them from Buster. The children’s determination turns a desperate wartime moment into a concrete mission of care and courage. Every decision they make is driven by loyalty to the eleph
