BREAKING: Disney film president OUT immediately after woke remake flops

The Post Millennial Reports: Sean Bailey, king of remakes at Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture production, has stepped down at the entertainment company after pressure from investors to "reverse Disney’s box office cold streak," The New York Times reports. Bailey will still be producing a new Tron movie, however.

Bailey has been in his role as a production president with Disney for 14 years and produced the live-action Aladdin, a more realistic version of The Lion King, and the live-action Beauty and the Beast. His latest remakes, however, have been less successful. He produced The Little Mermaid remake and The Haunted Mansion, which faired poorly at the box office.

Bailey will be replaced by co-president of Searchlight Pictures, David Greenbaum. "Our job now is to build worlds," Bailey said in 2011.

Disney has been struggling in recent months as their films have fallen flat with the American public. They have leaned hard into progressive messaging and been met with derision by long time fans, parents, and children. In a filing with the SEC in November, Disney even admitted that the "woke" programming has been bad for business.

“Generally, our revenues and profitability are adversely impacted when our entertainment offerings and products, as well as our methods to make our offerings and products available to consumers, do not achieve sufficient consumer acceptance," the filing with the SEC read.

In response to Disney's failures, new entities have sprung up to fill the children's entertainment void. Daily Wire has even begun production on a life-action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfes as Disney sent their own remake version of that film back to the drawing board after being mocked for bizarre inclusivity inspired casting choices.
