Zenless Zone Zero

As the last surviving city on earth, New Eriduis is a futuristic metropolis inhabited by humans, anthropomorphic animals, and robots, each of whom have a faction dedicated to protect the city from monsters known as Ethereals.

Zenless Zone Zero takes place in New Eridu, the last surviving metropolis on Earth after supernatural dimensions called Hollows destroyed the rest of civilization. Inside these dangerous, shifting zones, a corrupting substance called Ether twists matter and transforms trapped living beings into monstrous creatures known as Ethereals. While society outside relies on harvested Ether for survival, professional guides called Proxies illegally navigate people through the hazardous Hollows. The story follows siblings Belle and Wise, who operate a normal video rental store as a front while working anonymously as the legendary elite Proxy duo "Phaethon".

While taking on commissions for various factions like the Cunning Hares, Phaethon teams up with an advanced artificial intelligence named Fairy and uncovers dangerous conspiracies tied to corrupt corporations and the expansion of the catastrophic Hollow Zero. After sacrificing their original high-ranking online profile to protect their identities from a mysterious hacker, the siblings start fresh on a new account. They continue rising through the criminal and security underworld ranks, working to solve the deeper mysteries of their mentor's past and prevent further calamity from consuming New Eridu.
