A fictional Jackie Chan teams with his niece Jade and wise Uncle to race the criminal Dark Hand for twelve magical talismans that grant incredible powers. Their globe-trotting missions mix martial arts, ancient Asian myths, and comic mishaps across five seasons.

Jackie Chan Adventures follows Jackie Chan, an archaeologist and undercover agent who repeatedly collides with supernatural threats while chasing artifacts. When the criminal organization known as the Dark Hand begins hunting a set of twelve talismans, each tied to an animal of the Chinese zodiac and granting a distinct power, Jackie is pulled into the chase. His eleven-year-old niece Jade Chan refuses to stay on the sidelines and joins the missions, often sneaking into danger and improvising her own solutions. Uncle, a sharp-tongued antiquities expert and chi wizard, supplies lore, protective spells, and reluctant backup from his shop. Together they travel from city streets to remote temples, battling enforcers, shadow magic, and rival collectors who want the talismans’ abilities for conquest. Early episodes establish the pattern of locating a talisman, surviving a fight or trap, and keeping the relic out of enemy hands while Jade learns the costs of the adventure.

As the seasons continue, Jackie, Jade, and Uncle face escalating foes including the demon sorcerer Shendu, who seeks the talismans to free himself and reshape the world, plus later threats drawn from broader mythologies. Jade’s impulsiveness repeatedly forces Jackie into rescue mode yet also yields clever assists that save the day, tightening their family bond under pressure. Uncle’s spells and research become essential when pure fighting skill is not enough, and allies such as Captain Black and the law-enforcement group Section 13 provide resources and occasional comic friction. The heroes lose and regain talismans, confront betrayals inside the Dark Hand, and confront larger magical wars that test loyalty and courage. By the later arcs the trio must combine martial arts, chi magic, and quick thinking to seal ancient evils and protect ordinary people from collateral chaos. The series closes its run after five seasons of self-contained hunts that still advance the larger supernatural conflict.
