Lucky IS WOKE
After a multi-million-dollar heist collapses, con artist Lucky must stay alive on the run from both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss determined to silence her.
Lucky follows Lucky, a seasoned con artist whose meticulously planned multi-million-dollar score suddenly implodes and leaves her exposed. With the original escape route gone, she is forced into a desperate flight while federal agents mobilize to capture her. At the same time a ruthless crime boss with a stake in the job dispatches his own hunters, treating her as a loose end who cannot be allowed to talk. Lucky relies on quick improvisation, false identities, and hard-won street craft to keep moving. Every safe house and contact becomes a potential trap as the two pursuers close from different directions. Survival and a permanent way out become the only goals that matter.
As the pursuit stretches on, Lucky weighs risky alliances against the near-certainty of betrayal, never fully sure which former associates still owe her loyalty. The FBI tightens its net with greater resources while the crime boss escalates pressure through enforcers who prefer a body to a witness. Fragments of how the heist was supposed to unfold surface amid the present-day chase, underscoring the personal cost of the life she has led. She keeps pushing for an exit that would sever her from both the law and the underworld for good. Each new move raises the stakes, turning the question of whether she can outlast both hunters into the driving force of the story.
WHAT CRITERIA MAKES IT WOKE?
WOKE EVIDENCE:
- The script presents a consistent mischaracterization of its primary male characters as emotionally fragile, unreliable, or easily compromised. Lucky’s husband, Cary, is portrayed as entirely dependent on her criminal wits, displaying total cowardice by abandoning his partner during a crisis, while supporting male underworld figures are characterized as impulsive, short-sighted liabilities.
